Reviews for iSymphony LC32iH56 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics) The price seemed too good to be true when I ordered it, and in fact it was. The screw holes to attach the TV stand were drilled into the back, but the female machined metal parts were not installed, so the stand could not be attached. I tried to contact customer support and they had no idea what they were talking about. It’s a company they hire out- not iSymphony. Any way, they had me go to an auto parts store to try to buy new screws, because they said I needed bigger ones and weren’t authorized to send them to me. The new screws were about 4 times too wide, and no way that was going to work.

I hooked it up without the stand anyway to see if I’d opt for a replacement vs return. For the price, the picture looks pretty awesome, however this TV has one green dot/ dead pixel on the left side. Hopefully this TV is just uniquely bad. Since the picture is so nice, I decided to try to replace it.

Oh one other thing I’m noticing. No audio output- so external speakers might be difficult without splitting wires or being creative some other way.

Will update this review when I see how the replacement experience goes.

UPDATE: Amazon is telling me I might not be able to get a free replacement, but they don’t know why. The customer service rep was extremely helpful, but he couldn’t figure out why he couldn’t get it to process. He said he’s got three people working on it.

I over-nighted the original TV, but now who knows if or when I can get another one.

Alright Amazon customer service is awesome!!! Amazon definitely gets 5 stars from me! The guy finally figured it out and sent me out another TV next day!!! But… of course the stand doesn’t connect again. No green dot this time, so it’s time to find some screws that will hold the stand.
Reviews for iSymphony LC32iH56 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV, Black (Electronics) I got in on the lighting deal on this… Had it next day shipped (I love Amazon Prime!) and set it up the day after I ordered it. Out of the box, based screwed on, and set up via HDMI in under 15 minutes. The biggest concern was the remote and the warranty. Keep reading to see how they weren’t an issue!

There are 4 screws that hold the base down. This can also be attached to a standard VESA wall mount. There are plenty of inputs as pictured. The VGA is very nice if you wanted to hook a laptop up to this. The side RCA and side HDMI is a nice addition for a TV at this price point. The menu interface is well done and actually a lot better than I’d expect for something at this price. The picture is nice and for the price, really you can’t go wrong!

The TV seemed well packed and protected. There was a nice thick plastic sheet taped to the front to protect the actual screen. Three language manuals and a quick start card for assembly are in the package. There were no dead pixels on my set and the picture is crisp and clear. Note: This TV is only 720p, it is NOT 1080p as mentioned in another review. Overall I’m VERY impressed with this TV for the price.

I was worried about the warranty, which according to the manual is 90 days parts and labor, 1 year parts. I opted for a SquareTrade warranty for 3 years. You can search the internet for coupons and get good discounts on them or make it easy and buy the SquareTrade warranty direct through Amazon. I got a 3 year warranty for about .

UPDATE: The code I used for my Comcast Remote (the Red OK button version) was: 10812 This is for an Akai TV Manufaturer. But it all works, On, Off, Volume, Input, Menu, etc. So even if you don’t have Comcast, you can see if your remote has codes for Akai and try that out.

SECOND UPDATE: Another user confirmed that they were able to use their Time Warner universal remote by programming the remote to control an Akai TV. You might want to try this if you can’t find a code.

If you need to program your remote, most likely your cable provider has the instructions online, so do a search.

I was very worried what It would be when I opened the box but Fedex delivered it 30 minutes ago (less then 24 hours from my placed order to delivery) and it was packaged well looks just like every other lcd and the remote worked great! I had it out of the box and hooked up in about 10 minutes that’s including screwing in the base. There was no info on this tv when i ordered it so I hope this helps someone. It has plenty of connections including computer connections it has the standard wall mount holes, and from what i can tell in the first hour of owning it looks just as great and crisp as much more expensive flat screens. One thing I’m confused about is it says only 720p on Amazon but i have it hooked up with only component cables while waiting on my new cable box with hdmi hookups and the picture is already reading 1080i. so I’m thinking when the hdmi is hooked up it will be a full 1080p but do not hold me to that. So even though I still don’t know the warranty or anything about this brand I am very happy with my 8.00 purchase and it looks great in my bedroom.

For the price it has all the features you want and a pretty good picture. The sound however is pretty bad. I got it for my office and it should work fine in there, but I caution you if you plan to watch in a bigger room. The speakers are actually on the back of the TV facing away from the picture. It seems like a weird place to put speakers, and it results in the sound coming to you bouced off a back wall presuming its on a stand. I have no idea how you could hear the TV if you wall mounted it or had it in an entertainment center nook or something. If you don’t care too much about sound then this is pretty good deal. If you want good sound, I would look somewhere else.
Reviews for Viore LED24VF60 24-Inch LED 1080p HDTV (Black) (Electronics) It is well known from other reviewers that the audio is not good but a couple PC speakers can resolve this issue. The reason the sound is poor is attributed to the fact that the TV is very thin and as a result you cannot insert speakers with better sound because they require more depth. For the same season the manufacturer could not fit inside the thin housing the power supply. As a solution the manufacturer provided an externalpower supply (separate “box” with cords)but as it turns out this is not bad – see PROS below.

CONS: Vertical picture viewing angle is poor. If you are in bed and the TV is slightly above the straight horizontal line the picture becomes too dark.

PROS: The power supply for this TV is external (110 VAC input, 12V DC output). The TV power supply rating (stamped on the TV) is 12V DC at 5A. This means that you can operate this TV in your car, RV, boat, etc. It can be an excellent emergency TV. For emergency TV you may want to consider the smaller (22-inch model, consumes a bit less power.)

The remote control of this TV also operates my two big Samsung TVs and vice-versa. I would speculate that Viore is a low cost “daughter” company of Samsung.
Reviews for Viore LED24VF60 24-Inch LED 1080p HDTV (Black) (Electronics) I was researching HD TV’s to get to play 360 on when my large TV was being used. Ordered this TV from Amazon (had shipping issues but not amazon’s fault so won’t get into that)

Upon opening the package it looks real slick. It was a snap to get it installed into the base, placed into position and turned on. One thing I noticed right away is that the remote control for this TV works for both my Samsung 52″ and the Viore (and the samsun control works for the Viore too) After some googling it appears that Viore’s are manufactured using a lot of Samsung parts.

The internal speakers didn’t seem very good but I will just be using headphones with this set (which sounds good).

The 1080p looks awesome on 360 playing modern warfare 2. Everything is crisp and sharp.

Overall I am impressed with this TV.

I’ve had this unit a week now and I’m very impressed with it. The picture quality is amazing.

I use it with an Oppo 93 3D Bluray player going through an Onkyo 970. Everything is HDMI 1.4

compliant and it all works very nicely together. The Sharp sees the Onkyo, but not the Oppo

so far. Not really an issue. Likewise the limited web apps are not somethig that bother me.

3D playback was out of this world watching Avatar. I had seen 3D demos in stores and thought it was

a bit contrived and not really immersive. I’d see some cartoon character pop out of the screen, or a

big drop of water go by rafting the grand canyon.. but Avatar was full on, very real.. as far as it

is “real” of course.

Be prepared to mess about for a while dialing in the picture. Skin looked overly red out of the box.

I also had to tone down yellow and magenta setting and reduce color saturation a few clicks in order

to make things right (for me).

It’s been pointed out to me from my review of a previous Samsung 3D TV that the yellow pixel is a gimmick, and yes, it is,

as the industry spec color to be divided into Red Green Blue..but I think Sharp actually did something clever. Since the number

of pixels is limited to 1920 by 1080, the bigger a screen gets the bigger the pixels, or the wider the gap between them..

This is a beautiful TV. It is also incredibly thin, which is great for the wall mounted installation.

I purchased a pair of Sharp 3D glasses on ebay.

I have the TV hooked up to a HTPC with a GT430 video card . I watched “Resident evil afterlife” 3D Blu-ray. It was breathtaking.

I did not test the OTA HDTV tuner as I don’t have an antenna hookup in the room where the TV is at the moment.

I have not tried the DLNA feature either.

Pros :

The picture is very bright and just amazing. Much better than other manufacturers like Sony and Vizio.

This is a really nice size for a large room

When watching 1080p/60Hz sources, the picture is incredibly smooth. The 240 Hz refresh rate is absolutely amazing. I may have to watch this TV more even though the screen is only 1/4″ of the size of my projection screen.

The wifi really works well. I have it working with wireless N on the 5 GHz band connected to a Cisco E3000 router about 50ft away. I can stream movies/previews from Vudu at the maximum quality, over 9 Mbit/s sustained. This may seem little compared to the 300 Mbit/s theoretical of wireless N, but it is actually impressive that there are no dropouts.

The bezel is small and the stand is rock solid, it looks great even when off. When you turn it on your jaw drops at the bright, colorful, razor sharp picture. This TV has just about every feature you can imagine. How cool is it to effortlessly switch from TV to Netflix to stored files. I have not tried the 3D yet so hopefully that will not disappoint. Only a few minor issues keep this from being 5 stars.

Pros:

-Dual band wireless N

-2 USB data ports, this TV plays avi, mkv flawlewssly with a nice user interface. Great to have one large drive connected and still have a port to plug in my portable drive.

-You can turn off the ‘TV ON’ light in the front. May not seem like a big deal but with this off there are no lights or indicators to distract you.
